The Quality of Service (QoS) resource consumption is always the tricky problem and also the on-going issue in the access network of mobile wireless part because of its dynamic nature of network wireless transmissions. It is very critical for the infrastructure-less wireless mobile ad hoc network that is distributed while interconnects in a peer-to-peer manner. Toward resolve the problem, Taguchi method optimization of mobile ad hoc routing (AODVUU) is applied in integrated optical and wireless networks called the adLMMHOWAN. Practically, this technique was carry out using OMNeT++ software by building a simulation based optimization through design of experiment. Its QoS network performance is examined based on packet delivery ratio (PDR) metric and packet loss probabilities (PLP) metric that consider the scenario of variation number of nodes. During the performing stage with random mobile connectivity based on improvement in optimized front-end wireless domain of AODVUU routing, the result is performing better when compared with previous study called the oRia scheme with the improvement of 14.1% PDR and 43.3% PLP in this convergence of heterogeneous optical wireless network

This paper investigates Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) finder powered by Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting. Misplaced and losing item is a normal situation that happens almost anytime and anywhere. When this problem occurs in situation during the emergency time or in hurry, panic will come and start searching around for that lost item from where it was last seen it or place it. RFID is a technology that is used for item identification. A RFID Item Finder is developed with the Radio Frequency (RF) Energy Harvesting technology. The Output of RF Energy Harvesting is used as the input source for the RFID Item Finder by converting RF signal source to DC source that needed by the Item Finder. A RFID tag is attached over the item so that it can be searched by using RFID reader which if the tag in a read zone of the reader, user can know whether the misplaced item is in that certain area by the communication between RFID tag and reader

Genetic method for optimizing the process of desulfurization of flue gases from sulfur dioxide

    Get PDF
Sulfur dioxide is one of the most commonly found gases, which contaminates the air, damages human health and the environment. To reduce the damage, it is important to control the emissions on power stations, as the major part of sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere is produced during electric energy generation on power plants. The present work describes flue gas desulfurization process optimizing strategy using data mining. Determining the relationship between process parameters and the actual efficiency of the absorption process is an important task for improving the performance of flue gas desulfurization plants and optimizing future plants. To predict the efficiency of cleaning from SO2 emissions, a model of wet flue gas desulfurization was developed, which combines a mathematical model and an artificial neural network. The optimization modified genetic method of flue gas desulfurization process based on artificial neural network was developed. It affords to represent the time series characteristics and factual efficiency influence on desulfurization and increase its precision of prediction. The vital difference between this developed genetic method and other similar methods is in using adaptive mutation that uses the level of population development in working process. It means that less important genes will mutate in chromosome more probable than high suitability genes. It increases accuracy and their role in searching. The comparison exercise of the developed method and other methods was done with the result that the new method gives the smallest predictive error (in the amount of released SO2) and helps to decrease the time in prediction of efficiency of flue gas desulfurization. The results allow to use this method to increase efficiency in flue gas desulfurization process and to reduce SO2 emissions into the atmosphere

Research and development advancements in the area of wireless technologies give rises of mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) domain but is constrained to the single networks and stand alone. Furthermore, the communication networking applications requirements mostly still depends on fixed infrastructure networks that lead to MANET need to communicate with internet. Consequently, the traditional mobile routing protocols proposed for MANET are inefficient but play an equivalent important role in the performances of mobile wireless network over optical backhaul with focusing of MANET of the wireless domain in access network. Routing protocols procedures are controlled with a set of parameters from being dragged to undesired situations such as un-optimized Quality of Service (QoS) resource consumption. These parameters have a direct impact on the efficiency of a routing protocol and the overall MANET network performances. This paper proposed an offline optimization through simulation design of experiment of the AODV-UU parameters of MANET is evaluated by performing Taguchi signal to noise ratio (SNR) method for fine-tuning the AODV-UU routing parameters using the OMNeT++ software. The work is further extended with self-configure multiple data rates (SCMDR) scheme-a cross-layer-specific technique. AODV-UU with Taguchi tuned under the proposed SCMDR scheme is compared with AODV-UU configuration of oRiG scheme also as respects to previous work is examined based on capacity consumption, end-to-end delay metric and energy consumption metric under the varying speed scenario. The obtained results showed that, AODV-UU with Taguchi configuration outperformed the AODV-UU for the mention performance metrics here. The existing of current access network of the telco operators can benefit from the proposed improvement here

The problem of combinatorial optimization in relation to the choice of location of power supplies in solving the problem of development of urban power distribution networks is considered. Two methods of placing power supplies and securing consumers for them have been developed to solve this problem. The first developed method is to place power supplies of the same size, and the second - different sizes. The fundamental difference between the created methods and the existing ones is that the proposed methods take into account all the material of the task and have specialized ways to encode possible solutions, modified crossbreeding and selection operators. Proposed methods effectively address the problem of low inheritance, topological impracticability of the found solutions, as a result of which the execution time was significantly reduced and the accuracy of calculations increased. In the developed methods the absence of the account of restrictions on placement of new power supplies which has allowed to solve a problem of application of methods for a narrow range of tasks is realized. A comparative analysis of the results obtained by placing power supplies of the same size and known methods was performed, and it was found that the developed method works faster than known methods. It is shown that the proposed approach provides a stable convergence of the search process for an acceptable number of steps without artificially limiting the search space and the use of additional expert information on the feasibility of possible solutions. The obtained results allow to offer effective methods for improving the quality of decisions made on the choice of location of power supply facilities in the design of urban electricit

Algorithm visualization which is a form of high-level dynamic visualization of software that uses user interface techniques to portray and monitor the computational steps of algorithms. Moreover, algorithm visualization systems are also useful tools in algorithm engineering, particularly at several stages during the design, implementation, analysis, tuning, experimental evaluation, and presentation of the algorithms process. Algorithms are a captivating use case for visualization. It does not simply fit data to a chart to visualize an algorithm, there is no main data set. Rather there are consistent principles that depict conduct. This is because algorithm visualizations are so uncommon, as designer's experiment with novel forms to better communicate. Algorithm visualization (AV) uses graphics to portray an algorithm's actions. AV holds the promise of helping computer science students understand algorithms more effectively and in more prominent profundity. The purpose of this study is to design a system for sorting algorithm visualization and implement the system
